MHHC Inc. began with one home care office in Minneapolis and a simple conviction: businesses built carefully, held patiently, and run with integrity will outlast every market they pass through.

Our Story

From one front door to a family of enterprises.

In 2002, the Khalif family opened the doors of Midwest Home Health Care in Minneapolis — a single agency built on the belief that families deserve care delivered in their own language, in their own homes, by people who understand them. The work grew, the trust grew with it, and the family began reinvesting what the business earned into enterprises it could stand behind.

Today that reinvestment has become MHHC Inc. — three responsibilities under one roof. As a holding company, we own and oversee ten operating businesses. As an investment firm, we allocate the family's capital across six sectors. As a family office, we steward what the businesses earn for the generations who come after us.

The constant through all of it is the long view. We hold for decades, not quarters — and every decision still passes the same test it did in 2002: would we be proud to hand this on?

MHHC Inc. is the holding company, investment firm, and family office of the Khalif family, headquartered in Minneapolis. Midwest Home Health Care is the portfolio's flagship and founding enterprise — the certified Personal Care Provider Organization the family established in 2002. It remains an operating company within MHHC Inc., serving 14 Minnesota counties from offices in Minneapolis and St. Cloud, Minnesota, with an additional branch in Kansas City, Missouri, and staff fluent in 8+ languages.

No. The office stewards family capital only — we do not manage outside money or raise funds. We do, however, partner selectively with aligned operators when an opportunity matches the family's sectors and standards.
